Zuisen Distillery's acclaimed 8-year-aged awamori, traditionally stored in earthenware jars. Despite its high alcohol content of 43% ABV, it boasts a mellow, deep flavor that rolls smoothly across the palate.
Description
Aged awamori develops a rich aroma and rounded umami flavor not found in new awamori as it slowly matures over time in earthenware jars. This aged awamori has undergone eight years of long-term maturation, featuring a pure, crystal-clear mouthfeel that gives way to deep richness. It has earned high acclaim, including a Platinum Award at the “Anata ga Erabu Jizake Daishow” competition.
Recommended ways to enjoy
Enjoying it neat or on the rocks is recommended to fully savor the original aroma and sweetness of aged awamori. Its flavor remains well balanced even when diluted with water, making it an ideal companion for a leisurely evening drink.
