Setouchi Oloroso Sherry Cask is Setouchi Distillery's first Japanese whisky, born from the natural environment of Setouchi and the tradition of sake brewing. Miyake Honten, based in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture, brewed this whisky using carefully selected non-peated malt and subsoil water from Mt. Haigamine. It was then aged for over three years in Oloroso sherry casks and bottled as an uncolored, non-chill filtered single cask. By utilizing 225L hogshead casks, maturation was promoted, allowing each cask to retain its unique and rich aroma and flavor. Enjoy a one-of-a-kind whisky experience where the Setouchi breeze, a hint of saltiness, and the sweetness and richness of sherry intertwine.
