A 12-Bottle Set of “Suntory Old〈Year of the Sheep〉Label,” Adorned with a Sheep and Shosoin Floral Crest to Celebrate the New Year
A Historic Japanese Whisky Classic
Suntory Old is an iconic expression of Japanese whisky culture, first introduced in the 1940s. Loved by whisky fans throughout its long history, it is known for its classic character and rich aroma. The〈Year of the Sheep〉label features a sheep, traditionally regarded as an auspicious animal symbolizing household safety and peace, along with a Shosoin floral crest representing prosperity and eternal beauty. Its special design makes it ideal for New Year’s greetings. This 12-bottle set comes with presentation boxes, making it convenient for those who need multiple bottles.
Distinctive Bottle Design and Deep Flavor
Suntory Old is instantly recognizable by its distinctive round bottle design and is a familiar favorite among longtime drinkers. By blending aged malt and grain whiskies, it offers a smooth, rich aroma. It is characterized by a mellow body, subtle sweetness, and pleasant vanilla notes derived from oak casks.
Tasting Notes
- Aroma: Soft vanilla and caramel, with a rich aroma of matured fruit
- Palate: Mellow and rich mouthfeel, with balanced sweetness and woody spice
- Finish: Smooth, long-lasting, and elegant
Recommended Ways to Enjoy
We recommend savoring it neat or on the rocks. It also makes a refreshing highball without compromising its flavor. This set is also ideal for year-end parties, New Year’s gatherings, and bulk purchases for corporate use.
