A wine that faithfully carries on the tradition of Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo, the rosé that represents Abruzzo. Made from Zaccagnini's signature grape, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, it offers a fresh, juicy character.
A juicy rosé made from Montepulciano
After destemming and crushing, precious free-run juice is extracted by vacuum pressing, then cold-soaked (cryomaceration) and aged in stainless steel tanks until bottling. The grapes, grown in clay soils using both pergola and guyot training, are harvested in early September to bring out their vivid color and pronounced fruitiness.
Recommended serving suggestions
A medium-intensity cherry pink that makes a striking impression in the glass. Aromas of red fruits such as cherries and strawberries are layered with elegant nuances reminiscent of pomegranate. The palate is lively yet savory, with salty mineral notes that linger alongside refreshing acidity. Serve at 12-14°C; this versatile wine pairs well with a wide range of dishes, including appetizers, pasta, cheese, and mildly seasoned pizza.
