Crafted by Sapporo Breweries' Grandpolé using the cool climate of Yoichi, Hokkaido, this is a white sparkling wine made from black grapes. Pinot Noir, with its dark skin, is gently pressed and carefully finished through secondary fermentation in the bottle (traditional method), resulting in an authentic, full-bodied style.
Description
The 2020 vintage is a highly acclaimed wine that won a Silver Award, the highest score in the sparkling Japanese wine category at the globally renowned IWSC 2024. It has a slightly greenish-yellow hue, with an elegant aroma reminiscent of apple honey and pear, layered with subtle almond and other nutty nuances. The fresh, vibrant acidity brought by Yoichi's cool climate gives the wine a firm, well-defined finish.
