The brand Il Gran Paese was inspired by Italy's reputation around the world as the "Gran Paese" ("great country"). Rosso Toto is a red wine named after a figure associated with the founding family of producer Rosito e Guarini.
About Rosito e Guarini
This family winery was established in the 1960s through the union of the Rosito family, founded in Oltrepò in 1910, and the Guarini family, which had operated a winery in Puglia, following the marriage of their respective heirs. The winery has built strong partnerships with contracted growers, pursuing quality through a stable supply of grapes and meticulous winemaking. It is a highly acclaimed producer, having earned a score of 93 points in the 2026 edition of Luca Maroni's wine guide. A blend of Sangiovese, Pinot Nero, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, it undergoes fermentation and maceration in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by 12 months of aging. It features a purplish ruby color, aromas of vanilla and red fruit, and a velvety-smooth palate with a firm structure.
