This is one of the "Grande Polaire" series of Japanese wines, born from Sapporo Beer's own vineyard, "Furusato Vineyard," established in 1975. The Asakawa River basin in Nagano City, with its large temperature differences and well-drained soil, nurtures a concentrated Merlot.

This full-bodied wine features aromas reminiscent of raspberry, cassis, and cocoa, with well-ripened, smooth tannins. Its gentle astringency and soft taste make it approachable even for red wine beginners.
