Esprit Leflaive is a négociant brand launched in 2018 by Domaine Leflaive, a renowned estate known for its white wines from Puligny-Montrachet. By partnering with contracted vignerons and involving Domaine staff from the harvest stage, the brand secures carefully selected grapes with a strong focus on quality.
Description
This Nuits-Saint-Georges is made from grapes grown in a plot of old vines planted in 1955. Aged for 15 months with 25% new oak, it achieves a floral, elegant style without being dominated by oak aromas. Subtle layers of violet, raspberry, and dark berry aromas mingle together, while a smooth, velvety, earthy texture unfolds across the palate.
Recommended serving suggestions
It pairs exceptionally well with rich meat dishes such as roast duck and beef braised in red wine. We also recommend letting it rest for a little while after opening to allow its aromas to unfold before enjoying it.
