The first official bottling from Islay's ninth new distillery, Ardnahoe, has arrived. "Ardnahoe 5 Year Old First Release" is a special whisky, matured for five years in 80% bourbon casks and 20% sherry casks. This limited initial release is a rare find, with only 600 bottles imported into Japan. This "First Bottling" was air-freighted from the very first batch bottled at the distillery, and features a special back label indicating the local bottling date.

A Distillery Building New History on Islay

Ardnahoe Distillery was established in 2018 on the shores of Loch Ardnahoe in northeastern Islay. Amidst the beautiful scenery of the region, the distillery continues the tradition of Islay malts while pursuing innovation in its whisky making.

Hunter Laing & Co. Behind the Distillery

Ardnahoe Distillery was founded by the prestigious bottler Hunter Laing & Co. Stewart Laing, the company's representative, has poured his love and passion for Islay into this venture, drawing on his experience at Bruichladdich Distillery. The long-held dream of "making our own whisky" has come to fruition at this distillery.
