An 11-Year-Old Private Cask Selected for Japan
"Arran Private Cask 2014 11 Year Sherry Hogshead" is a single cask whisky selected for the Japanese market, produced by the Arran Distillery (Lochranza) located on the Isle of Arran in the Scottish Islands. Distilled in 2014, the whisky was aged for 11 years in a second-fill sherry hogshead cask and bottled at a cask strength of 60.3% ABV without added water. This is a limited edition with only 317 bottles available.
A Deep Flavor Profile with Harmonious Dried Fruits and Spices
The color is amber. It offers a sweet aroma reminiscent of mixed dried fruits, orange marmalade, and bontanamme candy, layered with fragrant mocha and beeswax nuances. The taste begins with warm apricot, developing into syruped yellow peaches and soft dried figs, while black pepper and cinnamon spices, along with the bittersweet notes of licorice and cacao, tighten the finish. Thanks to the lightness characteristic of a second-fill cask, the sherry-derived flavors are beautifully balanced with Arran's clean spirit quality.
