フランス・ボルドー地方、ガロンヌ河畔に佇む「シャトー・サント・バルブ」。18世紀にボルドー大劇場の設計で知られる建築家ヴィクトル・ルイの手で建てられ、1996年には歴史的建造物にも指定された由緒あるシャトーです。その造り手が手掛ける「レザルジル（Les Argiles）」は、その名の通り粘土質土壌（アルジル）を主体とした畑から生まれるボルドーAOCの赤ワイン。
内容紹介
メルローを中心に、カベルネ・ソーヴィニヨンやカベルネ・フランをブレンドしたクラシックなボルドースタイル。粘土質土壌は水はけと保水力のバランスに優れ、メルロー本来の果実味とふくよかな丸みを引き出すとされています。熟したベリー系果実の香りに、スパイスやローストしたニュアンスが重なり、口当たりはなめらかで、渋みは穏やか。気取らずに毎日の食卓に寄り添う、ボルドーらしい安心感のある味わいに仕上がっています。
おすすめの楽しみ方
やや冷やし気味の16℃前後で提供すると、果実味の輪郭がより引き立ちます。牛肉や鴨肉の赤ワイン煮込みなど、しっかりとしたソースの肉料理はもちろん、ハンバーグやローストチキンといった家庭的な料理とも好相性。カジュアルな家族の食卓に一本添えるのにぴったりのワインです。
