Amami Oshima Shuzo's Genshu, Brewed with Jōgogawa, Tokunoshima's Famous Water
Amami Oshima Shuzo, located in Tokunoshima, Kagoshima Prefecture, produces the black sugar shochu "Hamachidori no Uta Genshu." This luxurious bottle is made using the underground spring water of Jōgogawa, drawn from 120 meters below ground, and is bottled as genshu (undiluted shochu) without any added water.
Concentrated Umami and Deep Richness Created by 100% Amami Black Sugar and Atmospheric Distillation
By using 100% black sugar from the Amami Islands and distilling it at atmospheric pressure, this shochu achieves the concentrated umami unique to black sugar, a mellow mouthfeel, and a fruity, sweet aroma.
