ラベルに描かれた「年老いた黒い雄猫」が目印の「オールド・トム・ジン」。ビクトリア朝時代のイギリスで規制を避けて密売されていたジンの目印に由来する、歴史あるスタイルをヘイマン・ディスティラリーが忠実に復刻しました。
産地と造り
ジュニパーベリーを中心に、コリアンダーシードやアンジェリカルート、レモンピール、オレンジピール、シナモンなど多くのボタニカルを使用。オールド・トム・ジンの特徴である、希釈の際にサトウキビ由来のスピリッツをわずかに加えることで、独特のまろやかな甘みを生み出しています。ドライな風味をしっかり残しながらも、まろやかで芳醒な味わいに仕上がっています。
