Iki 25% 900ml Bottle | Barley shochu Genkai Shuzo Nagasaki Prefecture
4946697271001
“Iki” is made by Genkai Shuzo on Iki Island in Nagasaki Prefecture, the birthplace of barley shochu. Made using the distinctive Iki shochu method with rice koji and barley, it offers a harmonious balance of natural sweetness and roasted aroma.
Description
Iki shochu is traditionally made using a ratio of 30% rice koji to 70% barley. This creates a flavor that combines the roasted aroma of barley with the gentle sweetness derived from rice koji. Founded in 1900, Genkai Shuzo is one of the distilleries that continues to preserve the tradition of Iki shochu. Its convenient 900 ml size makes it easy to enjoy as part of your daily evening drink.
Recommended ways to enjoy
We recommend enjoying it with hot water to savor the barley's roasted aroma and the gentle sweetness of rice koji. It also offers a refreshing taste on the rocks or with water, and pairs well with meals.
