“Iki Royal,” crafted by Genkai Shuzo on Iki Island in Nagasaki Prefecture, is distinguished by its robust 40% ABV and rich aged character. It is one of the premium offerings among Iki shochu.
Product description
This spirit is made from a base shochu prepared using the traditional Iki shochu method of 30% rice koji and 70% barley, then carefully aged and finished at a robust 40% ABV. It combines the satisfying richness that comes from its high alcohol content with the mellow character of aging, creating a refined flavor worthy of a special gift.
Recommended ways to enjoy
We recommend enjoying it on the rocks to savor its mature aroma. Even when diluted with water or hot water, its rich barley flavor comes through, making it an ideal accompaniment for a special evening drink.
