Shodai Kasuke 1800ml Bottle | Mugi Shochu Iki no Hana, Nagasaki Prefecture
"Iki no Hana" began in 1900 when Kasuke Nagata moved from Kokura to Iki and started making rice and barley shochu based on traditional island methods. "Shodai Kasuke" is a barley shochu created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the company's founding. It is meticulously distilled at atmospheric pressure and aged slowly for five years at a low concentration, preserving the sweetness derived from rice koji and the fragrant aroma of barley, resulting in a mellow and profound flavor.
Recommended Ways to Enjoy
Slowly over ice or with water. When mixed with hot water, the rounded aroma from aging gently spreads.
