「ヨーリオ」は、アブルッツォ州を代表する生産者ウマニ・ロンキが手がけるモンテプルチアーノ・ダブルッツォDOC。1990年代半ば、この地の土着品種の可能性を追求するために造られたワインで、名前はアブルッツォ出身の詩人ガブリエーレ・ダンヌンツィオへのオマージュとも言われています。
ヨーリオの内容紹介
濃いルビーレッドの色合いに、プラムやレッドチェリーを思わせる香り、バルサミコのニュアンスとリコリスの風味が重なる、アブルッツォらしい力強さが持ち味です。9月下旬から10月中旬にかけて手摘みされたブドウは除梗・破砕後、26〜28度のステンレスタンクで10〜12日間のマセラシオンを経てマロラクティック発酵。その後オーク樽で約12ヶ月熟成し、瓶内でさらに数ヶ月休ませてから出荷されます。
おすすめの楽しみ方
しっかりとしたタンニンと果実味を持つため、トマトソースのパスタや肉料理、グリルした野菜など、素材の味がはっきりした料理と好相性です。カジュアルに楽しめる価格帯ながら満足感のある味わいなので、普段の食卓のデイリーワインとしてもおすすめです。
