Chiran Distillery's Once-a-Year Limited Release Sweet Potato Shochu
Honbo Shuzo's Chiran Distillery carefully selects high-quality Koganesengan sweet potatoes grown at its contracted farm, "Rokujizoen," and ferments them with black koji. The resulting limited-edition "Kuro Koji Genshu" sweet potato shochu is then aged for over a year. This is a once-a-year limited release, bottled each autumn using only the finest unblended shochu from that year's production.
Aromatic Flavor with Concentrated Sweetness and Richness
This shochu boasts an aromatic, roasted sweet potato fragrance, characteristic of black koji fermentation, and a concentrated sweetness and richness unique to unblended shochu. Grown with the blessings of Chiran in Southern Satsuma and pristine water, this is a truly satisfying bottle.
