About Lochranza Distillery

Arran Barrel Reserve is produced at Lochranza Distillery, located in the village of Lochranza on the Isle of Arran, an island in the Firth of Clyde off the west coast of Scotland. The distillery was founded in 1995, and Arran malt is crafted with an emphasis on quality, using two pairs of small pot stills for traditional double distillation.

Production Method and Craftsmanship

Arran Barrel Reserve uses the purest water in Scotland, drawn from Loch na Davie, for mashing. The crisp mountain air and sea breeze also contribute to the character of this whisky. The Arran malt, nurtured by pristine water sources and magnificent nature, embodies the spirit of the Isle of Arran.

Characteristics
