A carefully selected Kogane Sengan potato, brewed with black koji, resulting in an unfiltered aged sake.
Hand-selected Kogane Sengan potatoes, harvested locally, are carefully sorted one by one by Tsunematsu Shuzo Honten, a Kumashochu brewery, and then brewed with black koji to create the authentic imo shochu "Odorakudo." This special aged sake is then long-aged and bottled unfiltered at 30% alcohol. It has also won first place in the imo shochu category of a domestic alcoholic beverage competition.
Rich potato flavor and a richness close to that of undiluted sake
Because it is unfiltered, the gentle and rich aroma inherent to imo shochu is enhanced by a rich flavor close to that of undiluted sake. You can enjoy the firm structure unique to black koji brewing and the rounded mouthfeel from long-term aging. This is a precious bottle released in limited quantities every year.
Recommended Way to Drink
We highly recommend enjoying its rich flavor slowly on the rocks. You can still fully appreciate the potato's flavor even when mixed with water.
