The Sakurao Cask Assortment is a three-bottle tasting set carefully selected by the Whisky Museum to showcase the character of Sakurao Distillery in Hiroshima. It brings together the classic Sakurao and two cask finishes hand-selected by Stillman, each available in a 100 ml measured portion.
Characteristics of each bottle
Sakurao (Single Malt Japanese Whisky)
A blend of four types of casks matured for over three years in Sakurao's warehouse. Aromas reminiscent of raisins, orange, and peach combine with vanilla sweetness and balanced astringency and acidity, followed by a smoky, lingering finish.
Sakurao SHERRY CASK STILLMAN'S SELECTION
Stillman selected and blended some of the finest sherry casks at SAKURAO DISTILLERY. Raisin and cacao aromas combine with a fruity palate reminiscent of dark cherry and orange, harmonized by a subtle peat aroma.
Sakurao SAUTERNES CASK FINISH STILLMAN'S SELECTION
Among the many Sauternes casks, only spirits with exceptionally rich aromas were carefully selected. Aromas of white peach, ripe apple, and mango unfold into Muscat-like fruitiness and an elegant, lingering acidity.

Recommended ways to enjoy
We recommend first tasting all three neat to compare them and discover the differences in their aromas and finishes. Sakurao is also light and refreshing as a highball, while the Sherry Cask and Sauternes Cask are best enjoyed on the rocks or with a small amount of water, allowing their flavors to evolve slowly. Since each bottle is available in 100 ml measured portions, another enjoyable option is to find your favorite and purchase a full bottle later.
