Shindo Distillery began operation in August 2021 in Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture. With the concept of "THE QUEST FOR THE ORIGINAL," we continue our unique challenges based on the paths forged by our predecessors, such as "thorough production of new make using original yeast" and "aging using various types of casks."

[Thoughts on the FOR CORES series]

The SHINDO EXPERIMENTAL FOR CORES series is based on "EXPERIMENTAL 01," released in June 2025, but with "FOR CORES," we have poured our dedication into a deeper theme to sublimate it. As the name suggests, we deliver the footprints of our unique challenges to more core whisky enthusiasts.

[FOR CORES.01 Product Description]

A vatting that primarily utilizes chestnut casks, maximizing their characteristics. Utilizing the knowledge and techniques of cask aging cultivated so far, we explored the possibilities of various cask aging methods. Among them, we adopted the most challenging chestnut cask. It is an interesting cask material characterized by a dense, sweet aroma like maple, spiciness, and a bitter taste like astringent skin.

[Component Raw Material]

Based on 55% chestnut cask, 43% bourbon cask, 2% cognac cask

[Tasting Notes]

The exquisite harmony of the milky, fatty, and toffee notes derived from the lactone aroma of Shindo's characteristic new make, as well as the sweet aroma and moderate bitterness from the chestnut cask. That is "CORES 01."
