福岡県朝倉市の新道蒸溜所が「THE QUEST FOR THE ORIGINAL（独創性の追求）」をコンセプトに手がける、EXPERIMENTALシリーズをベースにさらに深いテーマを追求した「CORES」シリーズの第3弾。AWO新樽で熟成を開始してから4年の歳月を迎えたノンピート原酒をキーモルトに据え、計7種類の原酒をヴァッティングした一本です。
こだわりのポイント
Coresシリーズ第三弾。Experimentalシリーズをベースに、さらに深いテーマをもってこだわりを注ぎ昇華させたのがCORESシリーズ。新道では、試みも含め多様な種類の樽での熟成を行っている。
向き合うこと4年を超え、いよいよ開花し始めた樽も。今回キーモルトに据えたのは、AWO新樽熟成によるノンピート原酒。新樽で熟成を開始してから4年の歳月を迎え、テルペン由来の清々しく心地よい森の香りを連想させるようなグリーンな香りが際立つ。
新たに手にしたグリーンな香りの要素を元に、ピーテッド原酒、ミズナラ樽熟成原酒(ノンピート)を始め、前作よりさらに熟成深まる計7種類の原酒をヴァッティング。
甘やかさを中心に、あたかもスコットランドの深い渓谷や丘陵に佇んでいるような土や苔のスモーキーさ、果実的な華やかさ、円熟した落ち着きを兼ね備えた、これぞCores最新作にふさわしい一品です。
