SHINDO The Blended 2026 - Non Peated, the first blended Japanese whisky from Shindo Distillery in Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture, has been released. Crafted under the unwavering philosophy of "THE QUEST FOR THE ORIGINAL," this exquisite bottle embodies the dedication of its artisans, meticulously blending only malt and grain whiskies carefully prepared in-house. It's designed to accompany your daily moments, offering a superb balance that holds up even when mixed with water or as a highball.

Unique Grain Whiskey Utilizing Local Resources and Two Stills

For the barley used as an ingredient, we exclusively use "Haruka Nijo," a high-quality brewing barley produced in Asakura, Fukuoka Prefecture, which is recommended for cultivation in northern Kyushu. This barley, known for its consistent alcohol fermentation and low incidence of broken grains, is processed at our affiliated Asakura Distillery using two different stills. The first distillation in a reduced-pressure still minimizes heat damage and reduces off-flavors, while a second distillation in a hybrid still equipped with copper pot stills thoroughly eliminates unpleasant aromas, resulting in an exceptionally clean and light grain whiskey.

A Symphony of Flavor and Aroma with Four Distinct Personalities Harmonizing Beautifully

The foundation of the flavor is a light mouthfeel and gentle, expansive sweetness derived from the grain whisky. Layered upon this are the richness and milky sweetness of Shindo Distillery's malt whisky. The vanilla sweetness of bourbon barrels, the fresh fruitiness of wine barrels, and the oriental aroma contributed by Mizunara barrels intricately intertwine, maintaining a beautiful harmony (balance) without any single characteristic overpowering the others.
