Among the “Uminokuni” products crafted by the Okinawa Prefecture Distillers Cooperative, this is a matured aged awamori (kusu) that has been carefully aged for 10 years. Highly acclaimed in competitions both in Japan and abroad, it is a bottle to savor slowly.
Product Description
This aged awamori is made primarily from Thai rice, fermented with black koji mold, and carefully stored and matured in jars and tanks for 10 years. Long-term aging gives it a mellow, sweet aroma and a rich, velvety depth. Despite its robust 43% alcohol content, it has a smooth, rounded flavor with no harsh edges.
Recommended Ways to Enjoy
To fully appreciate the aroma and umami of aged awamori, we recommend trying it neat or with a small amount of water. It is also excellent served on the rocks and enjoyed slowly over time. This is a special bottle to savor little by little.
