"Isshu" Barley Shochu from Yamanomori Shuzojo, Iki Island's Oldest Brewery
Yamanomori Shuzojo in Iki City, Nagasaki Prefecture, was established in 1899, making it one of the oldest breweries on Iki Island. "Isshu" is an authentic barley shochu carefully crafted using carefully selected Iki-grown rice koji and barley, along with Iki's underground water, employing traditional pot preparation and atmospheric distillation methods.

True to Iki barley shochu, which characteristically uses rice koji, it offers a harmonious blend of barley's rich aroma and rice's gentle sweetness. Slow preparation in pots results in a rounded, smooth mouthfeel.
